We're On the Clock...

The only time Blu showed any signs of stress was at the very last moment when, what had to be 17 doctors and nurses, were all standing around and leaning over her.  But mom was right there to comfort her as she closed her sweet little eyes and at 2:40pm she went under.  We should hear something some time in the next 3-4 hours.

Last night mom and Liv got to spend some quality alone time together and for the first time Liv asked questions about what was going to happen during the operation.  For the first time it was clear that she had a complete and total understanding of what was coming and for me (Max) that was the biggest stress relief.

We spent the morning getting clean....

And a special teacher, Ms. Lisa, stopped by to explain what the game plan was going to be for the day!

In fact, once she understood what was going to happen she actually became excited. We spent all morning loving on each other, laughing, and goofing off.  Her cousin Addie, Aunt Deena, Uncle Mikey, and Aunt Cheryl all came by with a surprise visitor... Damma!

We got a special delivery of an AMAZING gift from our equally AMAZING neighbors, Vivien and Max, who went to Build-A-Bear and made an outstanding kitty appropriately named, Raffy...

If you press the little paw it plays a personal message of love that was recorded by Vivien and it ends with, "Livy Blu we believe in you!"

We met with our Oncologist, Dr. Choo, and we really like her!

Eventually the time came for us to make the journey one flight down to the OR.  The whole entourage made the trip....

We had the final moments to ourselves to prep and wait for the anesthesiologist.  Spirits still high, Liv even found time to comfort mom and give me some love....

So now we're on the clock.  We'll update you as soon as we know more!
